چکیده

We study the nucleon-nucleon interaction in the framework of the chromodielectric soliton model (CDM). Here, the long-range parts of the nonabelian gluon self-interactions are assumed to give rise to a color-dielectric function which is parameterized in terms of an effective scalar background field. The six-quark system is confined in a deformed mean field through an effective nonlinear interaction between the quarks and the scalar field. The CDM is covariant, respects chiral invariance, leads to absolute color confinement and is free of the spurious long range Van der Waals forces which trouble non-relativistic investigations employing a confining potential. Six-quark molecular-type configurations are generated as a function of deformation and their energies are evaluated in a coupled channel analysis. By using molecular states instead of cluster model wave functions, all important six-quark configurations are properly taken into account. The corresponding Hamiltonian includes the effective interaction between the quarks and the scalar background field and quark-quark interactions generated through one gluon exchange treated in

∆(1232) Electroproduction Amplitudes in Chiral Soliton Models of the Nucleon Typeset Using Revt E X

The multipole amplitudes for the N – ∆(1232) electromagnetic transition are computed in the framework of the linear σ model and the chiral chromodielectric model for small and moderate photon virtualities. The models include quark and meson degrees of freedom and the nucleon and the delta are clusters of three valence hedgehog quarks surrounded by meson clouds described by coherent states. Angu...

A QUARTIC POTENTIAL FOR THE NUCLEONIC QUARKS

We assume that each valence quark in a nucleon is in a phenomenological modified harmonic oscillator potential of the form: ( l+yo) (ar +br+cr +dr ), where a, b, c and d are constants and ? is one of the Dirac matrices. Then by making use of a suitable ansatz, the Dirac equation has a very simple solution which is exact. We then have calculated the static properties of the nucleon in the ...

Flavor Asymmetry of the Polarized Light Sea: Models vs. Data

The flavor asymmetry of the polarized light sea, ∆ū −∆d̄, discriminates between different model calculations of helicity densities. We show that the chiral chromodielectric model, differently from models based on a 1/Nc expansion, predicts a small value for this asymmetry, what seems in agreement with preliminary HERMES data. 1. Following the discovery that the quark contribution to the spin of ...

Information obtained from nucleus as a bound system of nucleons and from nucleon-nucleon scattering experiments is a strong tool for studying various aspects of nuclear forces. Deuteron-deuteron scattering as a four-nucleon system can provide useful information. So, scattering experiment of a polarized beam of deuteron with kinetic energy of65 MeV/nucleon from a liquid-deuterium target was done...

The Nucleon-nucleon Interaction in the Chromo-dielectric Soliton Model: Dynamics

The present work is an extension of a previous study of the nucleonnucleon interaction based on the chromo-dielectric soliton model. The former approach was static, leading to an adiabatic potential. Here we perform a dynamical study in the framework of the Generator Coordinate Method. In practice, we derive an approximate Hill-Wheeler differential equation and ob-
